Schumer turns ice cold during Aussie interview

A local radio host has experienced the wrath of American star Amy Schumer after he implied she played “a skank” in her new movie Trainwreck.

KIIS FM host Matt Tilley received a frosty response from the comedienne during a pre-recorded interview while Schumer was in Melbourne promoting the film.

Talking about the movie’s promiscuous protagonist (loosely based on Schumer herself), Tilley asked the actress: “Do you have the word ‘skanky’ in the US?”

“We do have that word,” Schumer responded, before having a dig at Tilley’s mother.

“Come on, that’s the character of the movie. I’m not trying to offend you,” Tilley retorted.

“Whatever you are trying to do, you are,” Schumer said. “That’s a rude question.”

From that point onwards, Schumer appeared irritated, avoiding eye contact with Tilley and giving blunt responses to questions.

When Tilley attempted to summarise the plot of the film, Schumer shot him down saying: “I just think you’re wrong.”

The interview ended on a sour note, with Tilley’s co-host Jane Hall joking that she should ditch him for her next interview with Schumer.

“I might come by myself next time,” Hall said.

“I love that idea,” Schumer replied.
