Pregnant newlywed Gabi Grecko is reportedly worried about the health of her unborn baby following a fall down stairs.

The US model, married to businessman Geoffrey Edelsten, is in Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital with a collapsed lung and fractured rib.

Grecko posted photos, in which her legs appear bruised, from the Alfred emergency room on Instagram. Husband Edelsten, 72, is by her side.

“Geoff coming to cheer me up had a staircase accident and fractured a rib and my lung has collapsed,” she captioned the Instagram shots.

“Pray for me and my family to be. I’m in the trauma centre of Alfred Hospital. I’ll try to keep you updated all of my friends on here who really are there for me.”

The newly married 26-year-old recently announced she was four weeks pregnant. She said she was likely to be in hospital for at least a week.

The aspiring fashion designer is believed to be in her first trimester and is due “early to mid February”.
