Zoe Saldana’s husband isn’t afraid to flout social norms.

The actress revealed that her hubby Marco Perego, whom she married in 2013, decided to adopt her last name after their wedding.

“I tried to talk him out of it,” Saldana, 36, told InStyle magazine.

“I told him, ‘If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world’.”

But Perego was not fazed by the potential fallout from the non-traditional move.

“Marco looks up at me and says, ‘Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a sheet,'” the actress recalled.

The pair secretly married two years ago in London and Saldana gave birth to twin boys Cy and Bowie in January this year.

The six-month-olds have not made their full social media debut just yet, but Saldana has shared several photos of them from behind.
