The couple have kept mum on the gender and birth details of the baby, but various sources have confirmed the birth to People magazine.

Onlookers have also reported spotting the pair out with their baby on the streets of London.

Knightley, 30, has been married to Righton, 36, since 2013.

While she is an Oscar-nominated actress and the face of luxury label Chanel, he is a successful musician, best known for performing vocals and keyboard in British rock band The Klaxons.

Representatives for the pair are yet to reveal details, but the actress has spoken in the past about her fear of having a boy.

“Somebody said to me the other day, the problem with boys is — sorry, this is horrible — but when you’re changing their nappies, you can get the wee in your face,” she said during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

“I never knew that before, so it was terrifying … apparently they roll as well, so you have to try to stop them while you’re trying to grab something else in order to stop them peeing in your face. So that sounds quite interesting.”
