Brit singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran gave a Sydney couple the ultimate wedding gift when he made a surprise appearance to perform at their wedding.

The 24-year-old’s uninvited presence was anything but unwanted for newlyweds Kya and Matt Debono who received an $80,000 wedding after reaching out to KIIS FM radio station.

Sheeran, who is on tour in Australia, arrived unannounced to perform the couple’s chosen wedding song Thinking Out Loud, a surprise organised by radio jocks Kyle & Jackie O.

The Debonos’ nuptials had been on hold for three years due to financial and personal difficulties – Matt is unemployed and Kya’s Mum passed away in 2012, all while they struggled to bring up two children.

Sheeran snuck in through the side door, sang to the couple, then left with them with the message to, “make lots of babies tonight”.
