Spice Girl Halliwell to wed Formula One royalty
British pop star Geri Halliwell is engaged to marry Red Bull Racing Formula One team boss Christian Horner, after only months of dating.
The singer announced her news in a notice placed in The Times newspaper, an old fashioned custom that appears to have become popular again.
Halliwell’s fellow Brit actor Benedict Cumberbatch also used an ad in The Times to announce his engagement to actress Sophie Hunter last week.

The former Spice Girl and her beau went public with the romance in March, and Halliwell admits she an ecstatic bride-to-be.
“Christian and I are delighted to announce that we are engaged! We’re both very happy,” Halliwell wrote on Twitter.
Halliwell has received a message of congratulations from her Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton, who writes in a tweet to the star, “Congratulations gorgeous! Excited!”
The singer was spotted wearing her new diamond engagement ring for the first time on Tuesday as she made her way through London’s Heathrow Airport with her fiance.
It will be the first marriage for Halliwell and Horner, who both have one child each from previous relationships.
