Jay and Beardless Bob: the shave that shocked the world
Internet outrage has erupted after Mallrats star Kevin Smith shaved his signature beard off for a new movie role.
Smith, best known for his role as Silent Bob in the Clerks movie franchise, shared a snap of his freshly-shorn face on Twitter.
“This is me, beardless, for the #YogaHosers green screen shoot. It’s a Face-Brazilian!” he wrote.
Fans of Smith were shocked by his makeover, which also includes a drastic 10-kilogram weight loss.
They took to Twitter to voice their horror, sharing memes teasing the star over his nearly unrecognisable appearance.
Smith is currently writing and directing the film Yoga Hosers, which also stars Johnny Depp.
He is also set to reprise his popular role in the announced Clerks III film.
