The internet rumour mill is in overdrive today with claims that rapper Jay Z has been cheating on wife Beyonce after she tweaked lyrics during their concert this week.

While singing her track Resentment, which deals with infidelity, the pop singer changed lyrics in an alleged nod to her marriage with Jay Z, a Daily Mail report claims.

Instead of signing the original lyrics “been ridin’ with you for six years” at a concert for their “On the Run” tour in Ohio, Beyonce sung “been ridin’ with you for 12 years” – the same length of time that she has known Jay Z.

The Daily Mail article alleges that the rapper is in a long-term affair with R&B singer, Mya, who he is also financially supporting.

Time Magazine pointed out how tedious the link was, claiming that Beyonce has been known to change the lyrics of her songs in concerts before.

The report alleges that Beyonce changed the lyrics to the song because she wanted to ramp up attention for their current world tour which “hinges entirely on the intrigue of her A-list marriage”.

The powerful couple have been the topic of gossip ever since a video surfaced in May of Beyonce’s sister Solange attacking Jay Z in an elevator.
