Actor Rob Lowe rescued from flash flood

Actor Rob Lowe and his family had to be rescued while holidaying in France after the house they were staying in became partially submerged by flash flooding.
The 50 year old and his son John both posted photos on Instagram and Twitter, showing raging flood waters passing their house, according to a ninemsn report.
Lowe revealed that his wife, Sheryl Berkoff, had to be reduced by firefighters, posting a photo on Instagram of her hugging a rescuer, which has since been deleted.
“My wife being rescued this am in the horrific flooding in Grasse France. Glad we are safe. Grateful to first responders,” he captioned the photo.
Parts of southeast France were hit by flash flooding this week after experiencing three months of rainfall in several hours.
The West Wing actor is currently holidaying with his family in Europe, posting holiday snaps from locations such as London and Barcelona on social media.
