Ann B. Davis, who played the beloved housekeeper Alice Nelson on The Brady Bunch television series, has died after sustaining head injuries from a serious fall.

According to TMZ, Ms Davis, who lived in Texas with two housemates, fell in her bathroom early Monday morning and hit her head.

She sustained grave injuries and never regained consciousness.

Her housemate told TMZ that Ms Davis’ death was a shock as she had been healthy for her age and even walked downstairs to say good night the evening before.

Davis played Alice Nelson for the entire series of The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974.
