Top videos: That sinking feeling, Assange returns and Prince William shakes it off

This week, sports fans witnessed more than they bargained for, Prince William showed us he is just a dad after all and Kevin Bacon took us on a tour of New York.

Julian Assange, meanwhile, got a warm homecoming and Tokyo has its very own Joker candidate.

A free Assange

After a plea deal with the US, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange touched down in Australia on Wednesday.

He pleaded guilty to violating US espionage law, ending a 14-year legal battle and was greeted by emotional supporters and family as he got off the plane in Canberra.

Travis Kelce steals the show

NFL star and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce didn’t just watch the Eras Tour in London from the floor, on one night he took to the stage.

Kelce assisted in getting Swift ready for her performance of I Cant Do It With A Broken Heart and fans lapped up his time on stage.

Prince William Shakes It Off

Swift and Kelce weren’t the only ones who put on a show during the Eras Tour’s London stops.

Prince William was seen dancing to Swift’s Shake It Off when he took his two oldest children, George and Charlotte, to the show.

Kevin Bacon on tour

Actor Kevin Bacon took his followers along for a tour of New York City as he made his way to see his wife, Kyra Sedgwick perform in a play.

Bacon took the subway, strolled the streets and even pointed out some of his favourite spots in the city in the wholesome tour.

Sink hole devours field

A soccer field was devoured by a sink hole in Alton, Illinois, after a mine collapsed.

Local media has reported there were no injuries in the incident, but the park has been closed to the public.

People walk the rollercoaster

A medical emergency left people stranded at the top of a rollercoaster and the only way down was by foot.

People were seen walking along the tracks of the Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. All passengers on the ride made it safely to the ground.

Tokyo’s Joker

One of the candidates in Tokyo’s governor race went viral this week, for a somewhat disturbing time on air.

Dressed as Batman villain, candidate Kawai Yusuke gave quite the performance, but no, he most likely won’t be elected.

The duster

A sleepy bear woke from its nap on a woman’s porch, only to feel the need to swipe something from her home.

The bear discovered a duster just inside. If only the bear had opposable thumbs, the heist would have been much easier.

Camel Run

Camels can run and it is weird. Splitters Farm, a safe haven for rescued animals in Queensland shared a video of some camels running around this week.

They somehow look awkward and elegant at the same time. It makes no sense.

Seal takes over Bondi

Among those who braved the cold this week to get some sun at Bondi beach was an 11-month-old seal pup.

An area was blocked off so the pup could sunbathe and he looked so content being left to his own devices.

We stumbled across a new visitor on our morning walk this morning – a beautiful 11-month-old seal pup! The rangers have blocked off the area so that he can rest in peace. He was sunbaking in the sand yesterday, went back home to eat some food and then returned this morning to pose for all the passersby! 🦭📸 #bondibeach #bondibeachseal #seal #sealpup #sydney
