Ariarne Titmus set a 200m freestyle world record at Australia’s Olympic swimming trials in Brisbane on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old clocked one minute 52.23 seconds, meaning she now holds the 200m and 400m freestyle world records and is reigning Olympic champion in both events.
Biden freezes
US President Joe Biden quite literally froze and didn’t move for a moment while at a Juneteenth celebration this week.
Of course the video was used by Biden’s political opponents as ammunition, with Republicans saying the 81-year-old is too old for another term in the White House.

A huge crowd at a mall in the US witnessed something magical this week – a jet-skiing squirrel.
The squirrel’s name is reportedly Twiggy and frankly, seeing a jet-skiing squirrel is the only reason to go to the mall.

Bear’s hammock
The bears are quite literally taking over. One black bear was seen using someone’s hammock this week.
“Unacceptable,” a human said, while the bear and its companion looked utterly unbothered.

A couple of black bears made themselves at home at a property in Vermont, where one was spotted relaxing on hammock. Homeowner Noah Dweck, said that bears are pretty active in the area and are “used to human contact”, so he couldn’t help but find the funny side. “I’m assuming they have found other people’s hammocks before.
