This week, former US President Donald Trump reacted to the jury handing down their verdict, while British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak showed he was just like the rest of us public transport-using folk.

The future of popcorn buckets are here and a street interview with a famous director has gone viral, because the interviewer didn’t recognise him.

‘A rigged, disgraceful trial’

Leaving the courtroom in Manhattan, Donald Trump declared the trial was rigged.

“The real verdict is going to be November 5, by the people. They know what happened here. I am a very innocent man,” he said.

‘Following the facts’

Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg also spoke following the verdict, acknowledging while this was no usual trial, he said it was not unlike any other trial.

“We arrived at this trial, and ultimately today at this verdict, in the same manner as every other case that comes through these courthouse doors – by following the facts and the law,” Bragg said.

Rishi Sunak takes the train

Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak took the sleeper train this week while out on the campaign trail.

He greeted staff on the platform and said he was “excited” for his journey.

Popcorn bucket

The future of popcorn buckets at the cinema is here, thanks to the upcoming Deadpool film, which is coming out this year.

The bucket’s design is a little suggestive, but Deadpool is known for being a little bit more raunchy than other superhero flicks.

Baz Luhrmann’s candid interview

Imagine stopping one of the most famous directors in the world in Sydney’s Newtown, asking for an interview, and being completely oblivious to who he is.

It happened this week. Georgia Godworth got an exclusive interview with Baz Luhrmann and admitted she had no idea who she was talking to at the time.

Whacky races

Perth man Dylan Twiss has tumbled to victory in Britain’s bizarre annual downhill cheese-rolling race.

The race involves chasing a giant wheel of Double Gloucester down a very steep grassy hill and if you win you get a 3kg wheel of cheese.

Nosy puffin

A very curious puffin got very up-close with a camera on Skomer Island in Wales this week.

We got to see all of the magnificent bird’s best angles while its mate watched on.

Bear besties

Everyone needs a best friend, even bears. Luckily, these two at Miller Zoo in Canada are “soulmates”.

The two were seen rolling around in the sun together, not straying too far from the other.

Otter dog

Reggie, a dog, has found a better alternative to the path – water.

While on a walk, Reggie was seen wading through water, as his owners walked along the path, leading to speculation he may be “part otter”.
