Delta Goodrem’s ‘romantic wedding’ in Malta

Singer Delta Goodrem has reportedly married fellow musician Matthew Copley in Malta – the same place he popped the question almost two years ago.
According to New Idea, the couple tied the knot in a “romantic wedding ceremony” in the European island nation on June 16 and continued celebrating the next day at a seaside club.
It said guests included Goodrem’s mother and brother, alongside Australian TV presenter Richard Wilkins and his son Christian, and entertainment reporter Renee Bargh.
The report – which is accompanied by photos of the singer wearing a gold band – has been picked up by multiple other outlets, including The Australian Women’s Weekly, which says it has been “confirmed” the couple got married.
Goodrem and Copley have been dating since 2017. They got engaged in September 2023 in Malta, when she shared the news in a social media post featuring a sunset photo and the caption: “My best friend asked me to marry him”.
Copley posted the same image, with the caption: “She said yes!!”

Goodrem has recently been in London, where she performed two shows at the Hackney Empire celebrating the 20th anniversary of her album Mistaken Identity and presented an award at the British Soap Awards at the same venue.
The singer also gave an impromptu performance of her hit song Lost Without You on a piano at London’s busy St Pancreas train station.
Goodrem posted photos of herself on Facebook in the full-length sparkling black gown she wore to the soap awards, but has so far not shared the news of her nuptials on her socials.
The singer, whose previous partners include tennis player Mark Philippoussis and singers Nick Jonas and Brian McFadden, rarely talks about her personal relationships. However, she has previously told The Australian Women’s Weekly that Copley was her guitarist and they met through music, adding:
“It’s incredible to be on stage with him because he’s so talented. We really are a team. He’s my best friend, he’s kind and just a beautiful human being.”

New Idea said Goodrem was spotted wearing a wedding ring at one of her recent performances in London, “leaving many to speculate that she and Matthew had been legally married in Australia earlier that month”, and “only had their official celebrations with friends and family in Malta recently”.
It speculated they would continue on a romantic honeymoon through Europe.
