Singapore Airlines passenger recalls horror flight

A passenger onboard the Singapore Airlines flight recalled the horrors of what happened inside the cabin when the aircraft hit an air pocket, causing severe turbulence.

Dzafran Azmir told Reuters he saw people being flung into the air horizontally. Several people were injured due to the turbulence and a man in his 70s died of a suspected heart attack.

Rishi Sunak drowned out by rain, music

Standing in the rain on Downing Street, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak called a general election.

He wasn’t just competing with the rain, he was also competing with loud music which was heard throughout the street.

‘Middle class’

Reflecting on her work as an UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, actress Cate Blanchett caused a stir by referring to herself as “middle class”. 

Her estimated net-worth is in the millions, so the comment didn’t go over too well on social media.

A lawmaker in Taiwan was so eager to ensure a bill was not passed, he snatched it out of the hands of another politician and ran.

Others in the room attempted to catch the man, but he managed to shake them off and outrun them.

Comet lights up the sky

On Sunday, parts of Spain and Portugal were treated to a comet lighting up the sky.

The rare and stunning spectacle happened on Saturday and the European Space Agency believes it was travelling at a speed of 45 kilometres per second.

Martin Scorsese and his daughter Francesca have given us a peek inside their home, which is a movie-lover’s dream.

Of course, the famed director couldn’t help but give some direction.

Fully conscious baby

A baby in a viral video has freaked out the internet this week. Two young children were asked if they wanted to go to the Four Seasons in Orlando.

The baby, now dubbed the “fully conscious baby” raised her hand and said “me”, leading people to question how the baby even knows how to respond to that question?

Dog tries to eat bacon

A very sweet dog called Kira has not yet realised she cannot eat what is on the TV.

Kira was seen relentlessly licking the TV, which was displaying some bacon cooking in a pan.

Bears get the zoomies

Dogs aren’t the only ones who get the zoomies. Two bear siblings at Brookfield Zoo in the US were seen having a ball.

It looked as though the two were playing some sort of chasing game and getting a little bit rough, which of course, is the sibling way.

The middle seat

Robert Irwin shared a video of some seals, which perfectly captures what it is like to be in the middle seat on a plane.

A poor little seal was seen wedged between two larger seals. “I mean even the aisle would do,” the wildlife warrior said.
