An altruistic millionaire who spent his time dressing up as Batman for sick children has died after his car broke down.

Lenny B. Robinson shot to fame after a video of police pulling him over in his Batmobile went viral.

But he died on Tuesday when a Toyota Camry hit his Batmobile with him standing next to it.

Mr Robinson, 51, made his fortune after selling his cleaning business, but decided he didn’t like the “obnoxious” person he had become, so decided to dedicate his life to making children happy.

Originally, Mr Robinson got around in a black Lamborghini with the Batman logo as its numberplate, before purchasing a replica of the George Barris Batmobile from the 1960s Batman TV show.

The imitation Batman had apparently spent hundreds of thousands of dollars updating the vehicle, which ended up being instrumental in his death.

On the night of his death, Mr Robinson had stopped to fill up his car with petrol, and had met a family whose children he gladly showed his Batmobile.

Back on the road, Mr Robinson’s car broke down, and so he pulled over, with the family he had just met also pulling over to help him.

Reportedly, Mr Robinson’s car was partially parked in the fast lane, and a Toyota Camry smashed into it a short time later.

The car catapulted into Mr Robinson, who was standing next to it, and killed him.

“He touched a lot of lives and made a lot of kids smile. That’s all he wanted to do,” Mr Robinson’s brother told the Washington Post.
