After struggling to buy a property in Los Angeles, music power duo Beyonce and Jay Z have resorted to renting some new digs in the exclusive Los Angeles neighbourhood of Holmby Hills.

According to TMZ, the couple were outbid on a house in Beverly Hills before settling on the seven-bedroom hillside home.

Boasting an infinity pool, gym, massage room, catering kitchen, tennis court, elevator and walk-in wine cellar, the property is a pretty great consolation prize.

The pair are reportedly forking out $150,000 a month for the palatial home, which they also rented last year over the US summer.

Along with Bel Air and Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills is part of the ‘Platinum Triangle” of Los Angeles – a name which refers to the affluent nature of the three adjacent neighbourhoods.

It’s the perfect spot for Beyonce and Jay Z, who reportedly have a combined net worth of more than US$1 billion.
