News Corp Australia chief executive Julian Clarke will retire at the end of 2015, to be replaced by the company’s chief operating officer Peter Tonagh.
Mr Clarke has held the top job since August 2013, following the sudden departure of Kim Williams. Mr Clarke has worked for News Corp for 30 years.

The Australasian branch of Rupert Murdoch’s news empire will also have a new executive chairman in the shape of Michael Miller.
Mr Miller was previously chief executive of fellow publisher APN, which News Corp bought into earlier this year.
Mr Miller’s replacement will be Ciaran Davis, chief executive of Australian National Radio.
