The Jennifer Lopez dress that shocked the world
It’s a sad state of affairs when a woman looking good at the age of 46 is front-page news, but that’s the world we live in, folks.
In Jennifer Lopez’s defence, she looked really, really good. Better than a lot of people half her age.
• Tilda Swinton’s most incredible transformation yet
• The spontaneous tattoo Jennifer Lawrence regrets
The singer’s outfit choice for her 46th birthday party earlier this week went viral as people wondered aloud: “How can someone who has had two children look so fabulous in what is essentially a body stocking?”
The dress, from designer Bao Tranchi, featured revealing sheer panelling which exposed most, if not all, of Lopez’s best assets.

Lopez even managed to impress the queen of attention-seeking herself, Kim Kardashian, who posted a photo of Lopez to Instagram proclaiming: “Damn!!!”
Along with Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren, Lopez is one of the growing number of female stars disproving that terrible theory that women in Hollywood have an expiry date.
To prove our point, we’ll just leave this here:

Amanda Seyfried gets the chop
Les Miserables star Amanda Seyfried was one of the few remaining celebrities who hadn’t cut her hair off into a trendy “pixie” cut.
Alas, the final bastion has fallen. Seyfried has cut her trademark waist-length locks, hereby blocking herself from any fairytale princess roles in her future.
Here’s an Instagram snap of her new ‘do:
While not as clear as we would have hoped, it’s obvious from this photo Seyfried has removed at least half of her tresses.
The actress donated her hair to charity Locks of Love, which makes wigs for sick children in need.
To give you an idea of just how much the hair community has lost, here’s a throwback photo of Seyfried’s mane in all its glory:

And now for a tribute to the fallen:
Hairdressers across the world should hang their extensions at half-mast for at least the next week.
Gwyneth Paltrow tells women to pee in the shower
She’s done it again. After instructing her faithful Goop readers to steam clean their vaginas, Gwyn has now instructed them to squat and pee in the shower to improve their pelvic floor muscles.
Yes, you read that correctly.
In an article on her lifestyle website titled ‘The Secrets of the Pelvic Floor‘ Paltrow declares: “Try peeing in the shower squatting down. When you squat to pee as opposed to sitting up straight on the toilet, you automatically engage your pelvic floor and it naturally stretches and tones.”
She goes on to explain this concept in way too much detail.
“Because your urethra is pointed straight down in this position all you have to do is relax for urine to flow out easily—as opposed to sitting up straight and having to strain to empty your bladder.”
Lord, save us from this mental image.
Alec Baldwin shows his daughter how to pose
Ireland Baldwin may be a professional model at the age of 19, but when it comes to posing for photos she’s got nothing on her dad, actor Alec Baldwin.
The 57-year-old father-of-three showed his eldest child how its done at the premiere of his new movie, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
Look at those moves.
