Anthony LaPaglia has found love again, confirming his engagement to his much younger girlfriend, Alexandra Henkel.
The Australian actor, 58, and Ms Henkel, 28, began dating in 2015, around the same time LaPaglia split from his wife of 17 years, Gia Carides.
The newly engaged pair made their public debut on Thursday at an event in Melbourne, with Ms Henkel showing off her large diamond engagement ring.
Carides and LaPaglia, who is best known for his role in US TV show Without a Trace, share custody of their 15-year-old daughter, Bridget.
LaPaglia filed for divorce from Carides, 52, in April 2015, citing irreconcilable differences.
The actor shot down suggestions his marriage had “failed” in an interview with the Herald Sun last year.

“With each age bracket you hit, whether you realise it or not, you’re evolving into who you are,” he said.
“And sometimes in a relationship they line up and sometimes they go in opposite directions.”
While his and Ms Henkel’s 30-year age gap is notable, it’s not remarkable by Hollywood standards.
