The London house where Sir Elton John was born and raised has been put up for sale.
The music legend was born in the three-bedroom home in Pinner, northwest London in 1947 and lived at the property until the age of 15 when his family moved.

The property is now going up for sale for the first time in 40 years with an asking price of STG525,000 ($A1.05 million).
The son of the current owner told British newspaper the London Evening Standard: “We knew all about the history of the house growing up as my mum went to school with Elton’s mum. His old room was mine for a while until my big brother claimed it as his.
“It was a lovely house to grow up in and my dad is only moving due to having a fall and needing closer care.”
