An official trailer for the much anticipated sequel to Finding Nemo has been released on YouTube, giving viewers an exclusive look into what’s in store for Pixar’s highly acclaimed fish film.

Keeping with the premise of the original film, Finding Dory will focus on a search and rescue mission, with Ellen DeGeneres’ forgetful character the focus.

Set six months after the original film, all is well for Dory, Nemo and Marlin until Dory begins to experience bouts of ‘sleep swimming’.

The amnesiac fish remembers she has a family, prompting a journey she probably won’t remember.

The sequel comes more than a decade after its predecessor, with some new faces slated to appear.

Hollywood legends Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy are set to star as Dory’s parents, as well as Modern Family’s Ty Burrell and The Wire’s Idris Elba and Dominic West.
