He might not be Erica Packer’s favourite person, but James Packer is a hero to at least one lady out there.

Music mega-star Mariah Carey made her feelings for the Aussie mogul very clear during a Wednesday performance in Las Vegas.

In front of a crowd of thousands, Carey dedicated her hit love song ‘Hero’ to Packer, whom she has been dating since last month.

“I’ve got a new heart tonight,” the 45-year-old said to the crowd at Caesar’s Palace.

“James is in the house. Thank you for my heart. I dedicate this next song to you.”

The pair first went public with their relationship last month while holidaying in Capri, Italy.

Since then, Carey has made a handful of allusions to her lover from Down Under on Instagram, including posting lyrics from her ’90s single ‘Heartbreaker’.

Both Packer and Carey have been married twice before. Packer to swimsuit designer Jodhi Meares and then singer and model Erica Baxter, and Carey to music executive Tommy Mottola, followed by rapper and actor Nick Cannon.
