Andy Murray’s wife steals the Wimbledon show

You may remember Kim Murray (nee Sears) as the perfectly-coiffed lady who caused a stir at this year’s Australian Open by swearing like a sailor.

Adam Sandler’s ‘sexist, creeppy’ outfit demands

She then laughed off that foul-mouthed outburst by rocking a “Parental Advisory” jumper, winning the hearts of trash-talking Aussies everywhere.

While her style choices since marrying tennis star Andy Murray in April this year have been decidedly more demure, they’re in no way boring.

In fact, Mrs Murray is something of an unstoppable force court side at Wimbledon. She’s attended her husband’s every match, pairing bright prints with lush, shiny hair and THAT engagement ring.

Here are some of her best looks from the tournament so far:

That handbag she’s carrying? Yeah – it’s already sold out. The Aspinal Marylebone Tote (find it here) costs a whopping $2000. Kim has it in the ‘navy raindrop nappa’ pattern.

But it was on day seven that Kim really brought her A game, showing up in a stunning red and white shirtdress from the brand Beulah.

Beulah just so happens to be the favourite brand of the Middleton sisters, Kate and Pippa.

Coincidentally, Kate Middleton showed up two days later at Murray’s quarter-final match in a similar red-hued look from LK Bennett (which is also sold out online), but failed to achieve the same level of laid-back glamour.

Has the Duchess of Style finally been outmanoeuvred?

While Kate is eternally elegant, her heavy makeup, statement earrings and leopard-print clutch were a little too dressy for a daytime tennis match.

Meanwhile, Kim’s loose-fitting dress looks comfortable but chic, and her denim jacket is practical for that unpredictable British weather.

But the style showdown doesn’t end there.

In what many media outlets are calling “The Battle of the Blowouts”, tennis fans were temporarily distracted by the warring shiny locks on both Kim and Kate’s heads at Murray’s day nine match.

Kate is often hailed as having the best hair in Britain, but Kim’s sleek light-brown locks put up a serious fight.

We can’t decide on the winner of this fashion battle, so we’ll leave it to you, the people. Have your say below.

Blake Lively’s invents the ‘Bronde’ hair colour

In other celebrity hair news (it’s very important stuff!) Blake Lively has invented a new hair colour this week.

The Gossip Girl star unveiled a new ‘do on Instagram, dubbing her half-brunette, half-blonde look “bronde”, thus validating millions of women everywhere who have been told their entire lives they have “mousy” hair.

Screen Shot 2015-07-09 at 5.33.46 pm “Brondes have more fun,” Lively wrote alongside a photo of herself posing on a footbridge. The photo has already inspired some copycats who adopted the “brown with blonde highlights” look.

If you’re not a natural bronde, you can create the colour at home by either putting blonde highlights in your brown hair, or putting brown lowlights through your blonde hair.

For inspiration, you can look to these other bronde-haired celebrities.

Why semicolon tattoos are all the rage

Getting a tattoo is often something you’ll regret in your later years. Whether it be a Chinese symbol or a cheesy quote, they often lose all meaning after a decade or so.

However, a new tattoo trend has a worthwhile cause behind it, possibly allowing you to skip the post-ink regret.

Project Semicolon, a social organisation aiming to raise awareness for mental health issues, has started a trend for getting semicolon tattoos.

According to the organisation’s official website, “a semicolon is used when an author could’ve chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to. The author is you and the sentence is your life;”.

People all over the world are getting semicolons tattooed on themselves to signify their battle with mental illness or show support for those who need it.

Best of all, a semicolon tattoo doesn’t take up much space, so you can make an important statement without splashing it all over your skin.
