The new Spider-Man is going to be a teenager

Producers are nearing the end of a worldwide search for the lucky actor who will adopt the role of Spiderman in upcoming movies.
In the new trilogy of films, Peter Parker (Spider-Man’s real-life alter ago) will be a high school student.

• Marvel’s new movie superhero, Ant-Man
Naturally, this has influenced casting calls, with producers searching for actors who will remain believably young throughout the filming process.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, comic book giant Marvel is currently in the process of selecting the next star from a shortlist of up-and-coming actors.
The final six actors to be flown to a screen-test in Atlanta, Georgia, reportedly included the following:
• British actor Asa Butterfield, best known for his starring roles in critically-acclaimed films such as The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Hugo, plus the teen novel adaptation Ender’s Game.
• British actor Tom Holland, 18, who gave a remarkable performance as one of Naomi Watts’s sons in Oscar-nominated tsunami film The Impossible.
• American actor Charlie Plummer, 16, who played Michael Thompson in hit HBO series Boardwalk Empire.
• Judah Lewis, a lesser-known American actor who is appearing in the upcoming Point Break remake.
• American child actor Matthew Lintz, who appears alongside Adam Sandler in the soon-to-be released adventure movie Pixels.
• British actor Charlie Rowe, 19, who has previously appeared primarily in television roles.
The eldest actor in the group is 19-year-old Rowe while Lintz and Lewis are both in their very early teens.
The role of Peter Parker, which has been previously played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, would be a huge get for a young actor.
