Furious neighbour crashes fashion week catwalk

An irate man with a noise complaint took matters into his own hands last night by storming the runway at the opening night of Sydney’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
The man managed to make his way past the VIP section and media, and crashed the runway as designer Kym Ellery took a bow at the end of her show on Sunday night.

Fashion shows are held at Carriageworks, a disused rail yard in the residential Sydney suburb of Everleigh.
According to Fairfax, the disgruntled neighbour was heard screaming at security about the show’s techno soundtrack.
“You have no respect for the local community, the noise is way too loud, this is a disgrace,” the man reportedly yelled.

The security guard grabbed the upset local, who was decked out in jeans and a polar fleece, and escorted him off stage as Ellery awkwardly danced down the runway.
The show was a must-see on the fashion calendar due to the return of Perth supermodel Gemma Ward after a six-year hiatus following the death of her friend Heath Ledger.
Ward said she slid into a deep depression and was motivated to return to work after the birth of her daughter Naia last year.
