New York Harry Potter spin-off set for 2016
Author J.K. Rowling says she has finished the script for the anticipated Harry Potter spin-off ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, with filming due to begin next year.
The story is set in New York, 70 years before Harry Potter arrives at Hogwarts, and follows explorer Newt Scamander as he travels the world before writing a book which Harry studies at school.

Harry Potter series producer David Heyman said he was “really excited” about the project, according to a report by the UK Mirror.
“Jo [Rowling] has written a wonderful script,” Mr Heyman said.
The spin-off is expected to be made into a trilogy, with the first film hitting cinemas in November 2016.
